Some of you know that I received a sewing machine from J for Christmas. Since then, I've had to be careful to not let it become an addiction. It's a pretty expensive hobby but I'm sure I'll learn ways to do it more frugally like everything in my life. You guys know how much I love a bargain! So I now have lots of fabric and project ideas. I've put myself on a fabric buying ban until I complete the 5 or so projects I have now.
I recently finished a 4 week sewing class at "A Common Thread" here in Tigard and thought I'd show you one of the projects we did in class. Aren't these pillowcases cute? :) It was love at first sight for me & this fabric. I knew it'd be a perfect accent for the all white bedding in the guest room.

Hayden the Surfer
Today Hayden surprised me with a new trick and I just had to get out the camcorder and capture this special moment. She is becoming more and more inquisitive and adventurous each day and I'm so happy (most of the time) that I get to share these moments with her. Being a SAHWM is the only job I want to have right now. :)
